I’m Johanna Rüthers. With Jocaptures, I document weddings in Leipzig, across Germany and abroad. My style combines creative editorial composition with a documentary eye. A distinctive visual language
I’m drawn to photographs that reveal more than the sequence of a day: the anticipation of an encounter, a passing gesture, the relationship between people and space. I work with a documentary approach, adding considered direction where it feels right for your day.
Digital photography, film and Polaroid each have their own qualities. I use these different forms deliberately, creating a story with rhythm, contrast and room for the unexpected.
We are truly speechless and moved to tears by the wonderful results.
